IN HIS SHOES: Mads Emil Møller

Step inside Mads Emil Møller & Emili Sindlev's bustling Copenhagen home, where design, art and aesthetic storage solution plays a huge part in how they decorate their home. With some help from RackBuddy, Mads customized a solution fitting for the big shoe and sneaker enthusiast he is, storing and displaying his ever growing collection.

Mads is sharing home and wardrobe with his influencer girlfriend, Emili Sindlev in Copenhagen. Their taste and eye for great design is reflected everywhere you go in there home, so their wardrobe had to fit to the overall aesthetics. With our dark pipes and our new smoked oak shelves, we managed to make room for more than 250 pairs of shoes, perfect for the two shoe lovers.

The smoked oak ads a Scandinavian and more masculine touch to the decor. The oak is very durable and both look and quality are made to last for years to come.

We have asked Mads Emil all the questions you want to know about his passion for shoes and what pairs he considers his favourites.

When did your huge passion for shoes start? How did it all start?

My passion for shoes began in the 90’s when I played basketball and fell in love with the whole culture around the NBA in the 90s and Michael Jordan. I started collecting sneakers in 1998.

Is there a particular style you go for?

My biggest problem is that I have a broad taste, so therefore I like all sorts of sneakers and shoes, from different brands.

What are your 3 favorite brands or designers when it comes to shoes?

If I absolutely have to choose, then it's Nike, Adidas and New Balance when it comes to sneakers.

How many shoes do you own?

I have lost track as I have sold a lot of them and it has been a long time since I have counted them… but there are many!  

What is the most unique pair you own?

For me personally, the most unique pairs are those who have a special story from my life attached to it and where and when I bought them.

Which shoes are on the top of your wishlist?

As of now, there is nothing I can’t live without, but I would always like a pair of the new Travis Scott x Fragment Air Jordan 1s and some other cool upcoming releases.

I find my inspiration through travel, movies, music, art, history, design and people I meet on my way.

If possible, whose shoe wardrobe would you raid?

Hmm, that's a good question. There are many out there who have some incredible shoe collections… but it wouldprobably be Nigo, Fat Joe, Dj Clark Kent, Pharrell, Chris Brown or Ronnie Fieg's just to name a few.
